ninten

abilities are 4th-D Slip, DefenseDown, DefenseUp, Hypnosis, OffenseUp, PowerShield, PSI Shield and QuickUp. Telepathy and Teleport. among Recover abilities are Healing andLifeUp.

Ninten is the only Mother protagonist that doesn't know any offensive PSI.

moveset can be

up b=Up Special: 4th D Slip- Ninten teleports up in the air to recover or move around the stage (same as Mewtwo’s teleport from SSBM only a small glowing box of PSI surrounds him)

b= Normal Secial: PSI brainshock- Similar to PK Flash and Freeze.

down b= Down Special: PSI Hypnosis- Ninten quietly says “Hypnosis” causing colorful hypno circles to flutter around him (the hypno circles look similar to the ones in Earthbound). Enemies caught in this will fall asleep like jiggly puff

side b= pk beam aims his finger at enemy then shoots laser
like fox does you can fire as many laser as you want but it does 2 percent in damage has little lag



A – Does a quick bunt with his bat.
A Combo – Follows the Bunt with a kick.
Forward Tilt -Swings his bat with one hand horizontally.
Down Tilt – Holding his bat horizontally with both hands, pushes it out and back. Causes the opponent to trip.
Up Tilt – Flips upside down and does a kick with both feet, there are lots of PSI sparks.
Forward Smash – Uses PSI to swing his bat for him. The damage when performed normally is not great, but it quickly grows expotentially when charged. When fully charged, it’s damage and knockback is stronger than Lucas’s Up Smash. Requires at least 1 second of charging to deal any dangerous damage.
Down Smash – Does a BreakDance, similar to Luigi’s Down Smash, except a spark of PSI bursts at the bottom of his foot on his left and right side. The burst of PSI does more damage and knockback than his general person does.
Up Smash – Pulls out the Slingshot from his back pocket and shoots it up. It shoots a concentrated mass of PSI a short distance up for it explodes, similar to PK Flash. (simmilar to Snake’s morter UpSmash)
Airials...
Up Air- Does a headbut like Ness’s up air, only with lots of PSI sparks
Neutral Air – Forces his legs out. A sex kick, like Luigi’s and Mario’s.
Forward Air – Fans out his legs and forcefully swing his bat straight down with both hands. Slow, and a Meteor Smash.
Back Air – Twists a bit and swipes horizontally with his bat behind him.
Down Air – Ninten flip upside down, holds his hand and points down. His finger generates a quick burst of PSI that sends the opponent up. Moderately strong, but not great knockback. Good for sending the opponent a fair distance up as a set up for combos.

Ninten wears a red neckerchiff instead of a backpack
Ninten’s shoes are blue and his socks are red
His hair style is different from Ness’
Ninten carries his bat around all the time (as apposed to how Ness only pulls it out when he swings it)
His striped shirt has red stripes added to it, in addition to the blue and yellow
Ninten’s voice is different from Ness’ and he speaks with a central American accent
Due to Ninten being Younger he’s slightly shorter than Ness and Lucas which also makes him lighter and a bit more floaty.

Well, he honestly sounds like a fusion of Ness and Lucas, which is cool for the Earthbound fans, but I think we need more diversity in the roster. Expansion maybe?

Da Generic One is right. Porky has been in the 2nd and 3rd game. Actually, not sure if im correct on this, but isnt Porky the only recurring character in the Mother/Earthbound series as a whole?

Not only that, but Porky was the main antagonist for both Ness & Lucas while Claus has been only a secondary villain to Lucas. Pretty much Porky outshines Claus. As far as Ninten, I know he is the 1st protagonist, but Ninten was re-invented in Earthbound and named Ness. So technically, we already have Ninten, but he is Ness now.

Though Ninten was on that suggestion poll, many are not remembering that Ness is based off Ninten with identical personalities and appearances. They are way too much alike to even suggest them both in the same game since they are pretty much the same person. Ness being the more famous one as well. So what does Ninten bring to the table?

As far as Masked Man, he would not exist if it wasnt for Porky, and Porky was the lead villain in the series. And OK, Masked Man & Ninten were on the suggestion polls, but who made it in the game with a number of reference? Masked Man & Ninten had a sticker, but Porky was 1 of the 3 bosses that is a video game antagonist that was in the Subspace, he even had his stage "New Pork City" in Brawl (the biggest stage in the game). Porky had both stickers and trophies as well.

Ninten & Masked Man were 1 time characters while Porky is one of the few that is recurring. Bringing in Ninten does nothing much as a series representative while Porky will have the villain spot covered.

not true read first post ninten was the first main character in earthbound seres and he dos not uses offensive pk power
but he has been seen useing pk beam in the tv ad not in the game though

and he is not like ness he is more stubborn and has a bad temper. because in the game Ninten fights the bigger and stronger Teddy in Ellay, and gets angry at hippies for trying to trick him

You can incorporate personality into moves, but idk here. I think Porky or the Masked Man would come before him.

If you try to change Ninten's appearance to look less like Ness then it wouldnt be Ninten at all.

And there is no proof or speculations that Ninten is Ness's father.
