Currently devs, yes. Man, a lot of these applications aren't too good. I haven't seen a "right" answer to the item question yet... There is no "right" answer. People percieve items differently, so how the applicants percieve them could be drastically different than your perception. I hope you aren't expecting to see the answer in the way you percieve it. Anyways, take my application off. It's clear that there is nothing I can do.

Oh, I'm sorry if you took that the wrong way. I simply meant that no one really gave an answer so far that fits with a truly competitive mindset.
Don't worry, it isn't the deciding factor in any way whatsoever. It's more like a little peek into your attitude toward what should be allowed.
By the way, should I do it as well? I think that it's understood that I'm knowledgable about the game, but I would hate to be called a hypocrite.

Well, maybe after there are other people in the room. Since you and the devs would be the only people who could see it. Although an example application couldn't hurt.

How long will you accept applications? I'm suddenly, unavoidably busy. :/

To answer ensane, there will be no application deadlining (I hope? that wouldn't make any sense, new forum mebmers also should be applying in the future). And to go beyond that question, I recommend to the Dev's a cooldown time period in which an applicant cannot apply a second time, in order to brush up on their competitive knowledge. In the SFBR you can apply once per demo version, and after full release, there will be a set time (maybe a month or so), with the time period growing with each failed app
The items question and all following questions are opinion based, controversial topics. For these, it's not the answer you give, but how you arrive at the answer.

Don't judge someone by what they say. Judge by the way they get to it. Besides, if everyone said the same thing, discussing together wouldn't help.

Meh, I probably failed the item question. I don't really care about the items since the only ones I really need are the ones I can make myself; R.O.B.'s Gyro and Toon Link's bombs. I can play with or without them. Although the fan is certainly fun as Jigglypuff. *thwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwap* *repeat ad 60% or higher damage* *THWANG*
How long will it take for the applications to go through the approval/denial process?

I'm guessing a lot longer now then it will be in the future, considering the overflow of applicants
Mine is now submitted

I think that Werekill should NOT look for similar answers to what he says. Then how do we discuss?

I think Werekill should show the ones he's on the edge about to someone else and ask them. Its weird being accepted by only one person. But I believe he has a good sense in whats right for the back room.

well the whole BR will be deciding on them I believe....werekill would only be solo on the first few. As for similar answers, that depends. They should be somewhat similar, because certain competitive concepts really aren't debatable, as much as a casual player might think otherwise. It depends on the question. For example: MU's have only the slightest room for debate, in how much of an advantage there is, but not on who gets the advantage. You're either right or wrong. Other questions, like banning things in rules, are much more open for discussion

Refers to stages where the floor extends past the blast line, meaning you can walk too far and die. Green Hill Zone's left boundary is an example.
