No, Phantom is standing here with me, and he says that he said nothing of the sort.

I'd like to also note that things CAN change, so if a character just doesn't work out (see: Adam Malkovich), he/she can be replaced or just flat out removed. Same goes for stages.

As before, if it doesn't have ICs, I doubt that anyone will agree that it is finished.

You can't honestly say something is finalized when things like this happen. I mean, before various changes, the roster was "finalized". And look what happened. @maiz: Agreed. Unless the Ice Climbers are in, it won't feel finalized.

So what did the final roster size turn out to be?

Haha, good question. I believe it still stands at... 80. We only plan to have about half that number for version 1.0. (Confirmation, Dr.MarioX?)

I expect many changes to come with so many ideas, suggestions, and possible spriting and programming issues changing things around. So I dont see how this can be finalized especially if we are not even halfway through developement

Well, that's the real trick, isn't it? We're almost half-way through development and we don't have anything finalized. And there will be no more changes to the roster. If we want someone in, they might become a DLC. And there are no more characters like Adam that we don't think will work. All characters work and can be sprited. I'm not saying they'll all be easy though. Yes, there are 80 characters. And I have no clue about v1.0. I'm not even worried about that right now, seeing that we have about 45 more characters to make. Ice Climbers (as stated many times) cannot be added due to programming issues. If the Ice Climbers become possible, they will be DLC. And just to restate, the roster is finalized and no more changes will be made to it whatsoever. We chose the roster wisely and everyone will be happy with the ones chosen. Any characters we decide we want will be DLC.

Except that as clearly shown, they could be added as a single character. You obviously weren't paying attention.

There is a ice climber sprite sheet that I found a while back that can work without programming issues in the ic# climbers for crusade post. I posted the link on the page before the last page of that post. It can work perfectly

Just forget it. He's obviously not caring. This isn't an issue on their programming. This is a case of "I don't like them, so they're not in. Deal with it!" Despite being provided with a movesheet that doesn't make them seperate, but instead, act as one, he's pretending it doesn't exist.

I have nothing against the Ice Climbers. They were one of my favorite characters in Melee. However, emulating Nana's AI from Melee is a problem. If the problem becomes solved, they will be DLC.

I love how you continue to ignore most of what we're saying.

I'm thinking he thinks that they should only be in with they're Melee/Brawl AI skills. Which isn't really mandatory or necessary.

Or, as he pointed out, reasonable.
The thing about the roster he showed us while in some sort of rage, it had VERY FEW requested characters, and mostly ones that no one cares about.
Jus' sayin'.

Just PM'd DMX about which characters didn't get into the new roster(though it was kind of obvious) He said DEOXYS SOMEHOW DIDN'T GET IN WHAT THE HELL He already has a character board, sprites, heck, he's more worthy than Rival Trainer.

Deoxys was replaced with Zoroark. The last change to the roster. That's what we (Me, Phantom, and Falcon) have worked on since 2007. Skull Kid: We like him. We thought about it (forever, it seems) and replaced Zant for him. Aero the Acrobat: It was my idea at first and it caught on quick. He made it on in a heart beat. An instant classic. Sub-Zero: The main MK character and he appeared many times on Nintendo consoles. Paper Mario: He's different than Mario, that's why he's in and not Dr.Mario. Earthworm Jim: I honestly didn't like all of his animations, but the idea was great. Morrigan: Her and Ryu are the best fighting choices. She was one of the last ones added too. Protoman: It was originally Zero, but Proto's a classic and fits with Mega Man Classic much more. Rival Trainer: He's always been on the roster. He's the one from Red and Blue.
And spriting? I hate to say it, but I'm going to do pretty much every character that hasn't had sprites yet. And that's most of the ones left to make. And I will do those 80 characters and I will also do Jack Cayman, Strong Bad, or Darth Vader. No one else.

I checked. Aero the Acrobat can... Shoot stars A drill thing.
That makes a GREAT moveset.

Rival Trainer honestly makes no sense, really. It'd fit much better with Deoxys. Skull Kid: Meh, he is unique, but heck, this I don't really care about. Aero: No one mentioned him here. I've heard about a lot of video game characters, but he really doesn't make much sense for people who requested it. EWJim: Elaborate, please?(how the idea was great) Sub-Zero: Yes, but he's from an M-rated game. It'd be getting rid about some of his personality to not have blood. And your trying to make the game family-friendly. Paper Mario: Meh don't really care Protoman: So he fits in? He's almost a clone. What would the moveset be that isn't as more different as Zero? I'm having dinner soon. When I'm back, I'm going to Grade Rival Trainer.

Deoxys was replaced with Zoroark. The last change to the roster. That's what we (Me, Phantom, and Falcon) have worked on since 2007. As much as I like Deoxys, Zoroark is the better choice, because she represents the new Generation. Would've preferred Victini, but oh well.Skull Kid: We like him. We thought about it (forever, it seems) and replaced Zant for him. Better choice. I hate Zant.Aero the Acrobat: It was my idea at first and it caught on quick. He made it on in a heart beat. An instant classic. Who the Hell is this?Sub-Zero: The main MK character and he appeared many times on Nintendo consoles. Already knew about him.Paper Mario: He's different than Mario, that's why he's in and not Dr.Mario. Already knew about him.Earthworm Jim: I honestly didn't like all of his animations, but the idea was great. Cool.Morrigan: Her and Ryu are the best fighting choices. She was one of the last ones added too. I can live with her, seeing as Joe is in as well.Protoman: It was originally Zero, but Proto's a classic and fits with Mega Man Classic much more. You replaced a better choice who has had his own series with an EFFing CLONE?!? Stupid, stupid decision.Rival Trainer: He's always been on the roster. He's the one from Red and Blue. One Trainer is enough. And spriting? I hate to say it, but I'm going to do pretty much every character that hasn't had sprites yet. And that's most of the ones left to make. And I will do those 80 characters and I will also do Jack Cayman Who?, Strong Bad NO!, or Darth Vader Cool.. No one else. My responses in yellow.
