No, I'm saying that us devs should have never went onto forums like these. You think Sakurai went onto Brawl forums and talked about the game?

That's different. Sakurai had a team of hundreds, maybe thousands of people helping out with his game. He could discuss it with them. Now, with you, you come on here to find the bug reports that we find, like Sakurai did with his team, and see suggestions that may be good to the game.

The thing is, we ARE your team. Your team of spriters and testers and bug finders.

No, I'm saying that us devs should have never went onto forums like these. You think Sakurai went onto Brawl forums and talked about the game? Bad analogy. 1. Sakurai's Japanese. Why would he go on to Brawl forums that are primarily English? 2. Sakurai had a team of hundreds for this kind of ****. You three don't.

Wow, Golden. Take a chill pill. All the ****'s and uses of the word "hell" are starting to annoy.
Gold Trainer sounds cool. Let's just do that. Geez.

@golden Phantom and I created the system. Therefore, we know how to use it. Not if all Pokemon get 5s in Representation just because "Pokemon is a great game". And I'm starting to lean more towards G/S Trainer Ethan with Chikorita, Quilava, Feraligatr. Afterall, Pokemon Trainer Red was in Brawl after FR/LG. It would make sense to have Ethan now that HG/SS has passed.

I honestly think Ethan would be a fun char to play with, as long as they're made greatly different from Rival Trainer, like Chikorita being more "heal"ish and defensive, Quilava being the fastest of them, and Feraligatr being a normal speed and more powerful neutral moves than special moves.

As long as it's different, it makes sense to me.

Oh fun, I'd get to be in the game! [/name reference] I do agree if we have another trainer it should be me Gold. As much as I like Mudkip/Grovyle/Blaziken, Gold version was quite literally the embodiment of my early childhood in the handheld department, and HG/SS were perfect remakes in pretty much every way (especially the GB Sounds!) (Still waiting for a 3D remake of R/S/E)
EDIT: Some moveset ideas: Chikorita: N-Special: Absorb/Mega Drain/Giga Drain or Leech Seed. Chargeable, does damage and heals Chikorita by half the damage it deals. Leech Seed would be sort of like Pikmin Toss, but would do damage every couple seconds and would heal Chikorita for the same amount it does (probably 2% damage every few seconds for 20 seconds). Wears off after the timer runs out or the opponent dies. S-Special: Magical Leaf. Similar to Razor Leaf, but it's homing instead of being aim-able. U-Special: Seed Bomb or... I dunno... Would be similar to Bomberman's U-Special.
Quilava: N-Special: Heat Wave. Long-range fire-based projectile, moves in a straight line. Maybe chargeable. S-Special: Flame Wheel. Similar to Egg Roll or Roll Out. U-Special: Eruption. Quilava flies upwards, surrounded by lava. The less damage Quilava has, the more damage and knockback this attack will do. (So at 0%, it would do something like 20% damage, but at 100% it would do 2 or 3%).
Feraligatr: N-Special: Rage. Gives Feraligatr Super Armor, and is powered up if the opponent hits Feraligatr while he's charging it. S-Special: Aqua Tail. Feraligatr whips around and smacks his opponent with his tail. Tilt-able? U-Special: Whirlpool. Feraligatr jumps and surrounds himself with a vortex of water.
Thoughts?
Also, strategies for the aforementioned: Chikorita: Leech Seed + CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMP Quilava: Projectile spam, avoid damage at all costs. Good revenge-KOer because of Eruption. Feraligatr: Use Rage a lot against a close-ranged opponent, but in general: Be a powerhouse!

Up Special Seed Bomb? No-no-no-no-no. She uses her leaf as a propellor...XD But in all seriousness, I think it should be reflect. When in the air, a thing of reflect goes beneath her and makes her get another jump. After this, she can use her aerials to attack. If used on the ground, she sets a shield on the ground for 4 seconds, that if projectiles hit they are distentegrated. Only one at a time.

Up Special Seed Bomb? No-no-no-no-no. I dunno. I just looked at Serebii's pokedex page and chose a move that made relative sense. First, the word you're looking for is "screen". Reflect creates a screen. Not a thing. Anyways, I suppose that could work. Possibly, it could create a temporary platform (perhaps 2 or 3 seconds) beneath Chikorita that gives its jumps back, but can only be used once until Chikorita hits the actual ground again or grabs a ledge. Or gets hit. Or... Anything else that resets U-Specials usually. Then Chikorita could camp. Off the ledge. For the win. :D

What I mean there is that when she touches it, it makes the "screen" go down, then go up and makes her bounce. So that she couldn't camp. This is based of Pokemon Stadium 1(or was it 2?) when you were in the Mr. Mime minigame, you could move the screens to bounce the balls.

Rage should only power up Rage, not all of Feraligatr. Unless I'm reading wrong.
And IMO it should be Kris, not Ethan, since she was the first girl to be playable. But it honestly does not matter too much, or at all.

Rage only powers up Rage. You have to use it properly in succession to get it to power up more. Or perhaps, you use Rage, then if your opponent hits you before your next attack, Rage is powered up, then the process repeats until you miss or use something other than Rage.

So, instead of getting weaker if used in excess, it gets STRONGER? That's original. No sarcasm there. No move does that (that I know of).

How 'bout, it powers up rage, but the more you use it, the more quickly Feraligatr gets "tired" ? That way people wouldn't be as willing to abuse it, since it could become pretty powerful if Feraligatr kept using it.

That wouldn't be effective because the opponent would then be expecting rage. I think you shouldn't be punished for using something other than rage in between. That way it's less predictable, but not really too good. Moves don't have to be exactly like the games *coughrolloutcough*

Wait it's an attack? I thought it just gave him about 15% super armor, to let him attack somewhat safely, and if he was hit in the startup, his next attack also gets powered up.

I mean that you use rage, it gains power, and it keeps that power boost, while being able to use other moves. However, if you keep using and powering-up rage, then Feraligatr will get "tired" more quickly, to prevent Feraligatr from abusing the power boost.
EDIT: So many ninja'd moments, this convo doesn't make much sense... I think... I'm confused, anyway.

Or it only powers up Rage and other moves are unaffected. That could work. To clarify: Rage is an attack. It would go like this: Rage > Opponent hits you > Powered up Rage > Opponent hits you again > ad infinitum.
So Rage is only powered up if the next time you get hit is between the previous rage and your next attack. If you use Rage again before getting hit, it goes back to its base power.
