That's true as well. The blaster is Krystal's quickest projectile while the staff is out. And the staff will be out quite a lot.

But it has no combo potential due to how long it takes to get it out and away, does little damage, and is slow. The Demon Sniper only takes a few more frames and is infinitely more useful, or you could just skip the projectile and approach. I personally am all for a change in her n-special. Maybe the Grenade from Star Fox Assault. OR: Chargeable? In Assault you could charge blaster shots for more damage and range, as well as it being easier to aim. I think this would be much better than the current one. The only disadvantage to charging was that the shot generally moved slower as it got more powerful, so that balances it out.

That could be cool. Maybe I'll do that?

That would be brilliant. I could probably make the sprites for the different charge levels.

If you do that, I'll get on programming right away.

Nice. Staying true to form on this move, eh?
Did some testing with Krystal today under the new game conditions. Definitely still a good character.

Good then. Maybe the version we have now could be the medium charge, at least speed wise. Much more damaging, though.

K, here's how it seems it'll work: To start charging, you have to fire one shot and hold afterwards. I suppose this could stop you from moving, even though you could still move and jump and such while charging in Assault. If we want to truly stay with its origins, then you should be able to move around but only jump once, and of course you're unable to attack while charging and holding the charge. After the first shot, it takes one second to charge to each subsequent level. 1st charge: Green. Does about 1 or 2 percent more than no charge, little extra knockback, same hitstun, ~same speed. 2nd charge: Blue. Does about 3 or 4 percent more than no charge, more knockback, same hitstun, slightly slower. 3rd charge: Red. Does about 6-7 percent more than no charge, large knockback, slightly more hitstun, barely faster than the Demon Sniper. So it should take 3-4 seconds to charge to level 3. EDIT: Done. I'll see what I can do about charging effects.

I like it! More unique than I'd expect.

So people notice I edited: Yepperoonie. I don't know who sprited Krystal, but they obviously didn't play Star Fox Assault. Krystal's normal blaster shot is blue, not purple.

That's fairly obvious by the style of the sprites themselves...

No, they look like her Adventures appearance, hence the various staff-based attacks. But one would think they'd pay attention to a little detail like that. EDIT: Working on the charging animation. Should be done in 10 minutes or so. EDIT: Dang, 18. Starting from the top left, it goes through the first row until the second level is reached, then goes through the second row until the third level is reached, and then repeats the animation for the 3rd row until the shot is fired.

Cool! Moving around during it wouldn't be too hard to make... If I can, I'll also have to allow Mega Man to move around during his.

I think it needs more shading, just a little bit more.

I don't think a bullet of energy casts a shadow.

I don't think a bullet of energy casts a shadow. In spriting, shading is when they make a sprite cast a vast amount of different shades of a color, like red, to make it look like its been edited by the sun. But truthfully, I don't think bullets of energy are effected by the sun.

Shading is part of the sprite casting a shadow on another part.
Energy does not cast a shadow.
