Don't go off topic in MY thread.
Now to bring this back on-topic.
There is going to be 1 DLC character in the Roster. (I said the Roster is final, and it IS. This is an unrelated ADD-ON.)
This character is:
1. Someone on my Full Roster that didn't make it.
2. A character from a series not represented.
3. A character from a series that wouldn't OTHERWISE be represented in any way if the character wasn't in.

By the way Golden, have you seen what has been going on lately? Many fans in America are making petitions, request, letters, demands, etc. to Nintendo like there is no tomorrow. There is something called Project Rainfall (if Im correct). Its a rally of fans requesting Nintendo to release Last Story, Xenoblade, & Pandora's Tower to America.
Its all over Nintendo's IGN, Facebook, Youtube, just anything website related.
Right now Xenoblade is Amazon.com's #1 bestseller. And the game is only sold in Japan. This series is getting the Fire Emblem treatment. Plus Nintendo notices everything that is going on.
I bet there will be request for one or all 3 of those series to have their protagonist playable in SSB4. But here is the thing. While Pandora's Tower & Last Story are made by 3rd party companies that are not that well known, Xenoblade is made by Monolith Soft, which is now 1st party Nintendo. And also, Monolith Soft help develop Smash Bros Brawl.
I think Shulk from Xenoblade might have a chance here. I was thinking of replacing Anthony Higgs with Shulk on my roster. What do you think of Shulk, this Project Rainfall situation, & would you ever consider adding Shulk on your roster?

That's the best name for him that doesn't use the title of his game, IMO.

I dont know, mr. game & watch is named after the title of his game as well and he is an un-named character before smash. Plus most fans call DHD more than laughing dog

I used to go with "Laughing Dog", but in the end, he would only laugh for a taunt or a victory, and even then, he doesn't actually laugh; he snickers, not unlike Muttley from Wacky Races. (Muttley came first, so DHD was probably inspired by him.)
And "Snickering Dog" doesn't sound all that great.
And Generic, I was going for a possible victory theme to use for Ryu. The only two that popped up were the Stage Clear from Ninja Gaiden Shadow, which was originally NOT a Ninja Gaiden game, and the Victory Theme from Dead or Alive 1. I went with the latter, and sped it up a bit. Now that I think about it, the former might be a better choice, due to being from a NG instead of a DoA.

Sorry for the double post, but I have some changes. The Roster is still going to be 56 characters (with NO DLC), but there have been a few replacements.
1. The article I posted in the "Kojima talks Snake in Brawl" convinces me that the only 3rd Parties will be Snake, Sonic, and Megaman. This means Slime is cut, and Ryu Hayabusa is not DLC (or on the main Roster either.).
2. Due to the open spot, Duck Hunt Dog moves up from DLC onto the main roster in lieu of Slime.
3. MB is axed in favor of Shake King. Many treat any character from Other M as scum of the Earth, and since Other M has many criticisms, I doubt the playability of people like MB, Adam, Anthony, etc. And with no one else to replace her (Dark Samus and the Hunters are not well recieved in Japan due to Japan not favoring the Prime series.), I replaced her with a 2nd character for Wario. One that is a villain and recent.
4. Samurai Goroh is replaced by Black Shadow (again). I strongly believe BS is the next logical choice, as Goroh is viewed as a joke among F-Zero fans, and would have to pull a moveset out of nowhere, whereas Black Shadow has his powers from the anime (Which can be taken into account as the it features the Falcon Punch).
5. Saki and Isaac are replaced by Isa and Matthew, for they are the current faces of the two series. Isa being in the revival of the S+P series also helps. As for Matthew, it is beleived that he will be in GS4 (as hinted at the end of GS:DD) which would make Matthew the only character with a main role in two games (Felix was the star of GS:LA, and Matthew was the star of GS:DD. Isaac may have been in all of them, but he was only the main character of the 1st.).
